About the Temple
The first and only Ayyappa temple in North India with the iconic 18 Holy Steps — built in the tradition of Sabarimala, in the heart of Jaipur.
Our Temple
The pranaprathishta of the Ayyappa temple was consecrated on 14th January 1986 by Shri Attupurathu Govindan Nambhoothiri. The foundation stone was laid on Thiruvonam Day of Chingam — 07 September 1984.
Built similar in architecture to the most famous Sabarimala Shree Dharmasastha Temple in Kerala, the shrine is located in the south side of Jaipur’s Pink City — 7 km from Jaipur Junction Railway Station and 4 km from Sanganer Airport.
This is the first and only temple of its kind in North India with 18 Holy Steps (Pathinettam Padi) similar to that of Sabarimala Temple. The temple also includes shrines of Lord Ganesh Ji, Shiva, Devi Bhadrakaali, and Navagrahas — the archetypal style of Kerala’s Mahakshetram.
Extensive daily Poojas are performed. Regular Bhajana followed by Annaprasadam is performed throughout the Mandalakaalam. On all Saturdays, Mahadeeparadhana followed by Bhajana are performed with distribution of Annaprasadam. Akhandanamayagnam every second Sunday and Sarvaishwarya Pooja every third Sunday are additional highlights.
